About you

As a Senior Campaign Manager, you will be a critical part of the marketing function, bridging the gap between tactical execution and strategic oversight. Sitting between the Head of Campaigns and Campaign Managers, your focus will be on workflow development, automation excellence, and campaign performance—particularly within HubSpot.

You will lead high-impact marketing automation initiatives, mentor junior team members, and reduce operational strain on the Head of Campaigns. Your efforts will support the shift from fixed campaign cycles to an always-on strategy, improving campaign speed, consistency, and results across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

HubSpot and Campaign Infrastructure

  • Build, test, and optimise multi-phase workflows, nurture sequences, and campaign assets in HubSpot.
  • Maintain marketing automation best practices including tagging, campaign naming conventions, and UTM structures.
  • Develop and manage dynamic lists, segmentation strategies, and behavioural triggers.
  • Own the build and execution of cross-brand operational automations such as GDPR compliance, email preference centres, and lead lifecycle flows with the Head of Data and Innovation and Head of Campaigns.

Campaign Delivery and Optimisation

  • Act as a senior hands-on resource for campaign build support across brand teams without owning a specific event portfolio.
  • Improve time-to-launch for campaigns by streamlining processes and QA protocols.
  • Lead A/B testing setup and implementation to drive better open rates, click-through rates, and MQL conversion metrics.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data, workflow, and delivery issues to ensure smooth performance.

Team Leadership and Enablement

  • Mentor Campaign Managers and Executives on workflow best practices, HubSpot usage, and campaign logic.
  • Create and maintain campaign playbooks, QA checklists, and performance dashboards.
  • Help establish a culture of shared learning by identifying and filling knowledge gaps across the team.

Cross-Functional and Strategic Support

  • Collaborate with the Head of Campaigns to support strategic initiatives and reduce operational bottlenecks.
  • Serve as the go-to expert for day-to-day HubSpot campaign queries and technical troubleshooting.
  • Partner with data, sales, and content teams to ensure full-funnel alignment and reporting accuracy.
  • Monitor platform updates and drive adoption of new features and AI-based enhancements where relevant.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 6+ years’ experience in marketing automation, with at least 3 years in a hands-on campaign build or operations role.
  • Proven track record in HubSpot Marketing Hub (workflow building, list segmentation, performance dashboards).
  • Strong understanding of digital campaign strategy, including nurture journeys, A/B testing, and personalisation.
  • Ability to work across multiple stakeholders and brands simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience mentoring junior staff and driving quality and consistency in campaign execution.
  • Advanced data troubleshooting and logic-building capability in automation environments.
  • Solid understanding of GDPR compliance and marketing data governance.
  • HubSpot certification(s) or equivalent experience in complex HubSpot environments.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven tools for campaign optimisation.
  • Experience in events, B2B, or multi-brand marketing teams.
  • Understanding of reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Google Data Studio) and CRM integrations.
