Group Financial Controller

As Group Financial Reporting Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the integrity of Hyve's external financial reporting while acting as the technical accounting lead for the Group.
You'll work closely with finance teams across the business to deliver accurate reporting, drive improvements in financial processes and support strategic decision-making.

As part of your job, you'll
- Lead the preparation of the Group's statutory financial statements and support the delivery of high-quality external financial reporting.
- Act as the technical accounting expert for the Group, providing guidance on IFRS, new accounting standards and complex transactions.
- Manage the annual external audit, acting as the primary contact for auditors and ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process.
- Lead, coach and develop the Financial Reporting team, creating a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement and high performance.
- Work closely with finance teams across the Group to improve the quality, consistency and efficiency of financial reporting processes.
- Review legal entity reporting, intercompany accounting and statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with Group policies and accounting standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes through automation, standardisation and enhanced use of finance systems.
- You'll also act as deputy to the Group Financial Controller, supporting the wider Group Finance function and helping shape the future of financial reporting at Hyve.
- Here's what we're looking for from you
- Professionally qualified accountant (ACA preferred, ACCA or equivalent considered) with strong technical accounting knowledge. Minimum three years post-qualification experience.
- Experience in financial reporting, statutory reporting or external audit within a complex or multi-entity organisation.
- Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and UK Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (UK GAAP).
- A collaborative leader who enjoys developing people and building strong relationships across the business.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities while delivering high-quality work to tight deadlines.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with an interest in improving processes and embracing new technologies.
