About the Role
HLTH runs several events and products at once, each with its own calendar, audiences, and Marketing lead: HLTH USA, HLTH Europe, Vi VE, and the HLTH Community platform.
Email does the heavy lifting across all of them, from registration launches and price-break pushes to sponsor nurture and Market Connect recruitment.
This role sits at the center of that work.
It's a global role based in London, and it supports every HLTH program and product.
Role Overview
The Marketing Operations Manager owns email production and the marketing operations behind it.
You'll build, QA, and ship the sends, keep segmentation and suppression clean, and make sure the data, routing, and reporting underneath hold up.
It's a hands-on role with an operator's shape.
One day you're lining up a three-brand send schedule around overlapping price breaks; the next you're tracing why a batch of contacts landed in the wrong nurture.
You'll be the Hub Spot expert people come to; you'll know what shipped and how it performed, and you'll push for better ways to do both.
You'll report to the Director, Marketing Operations, and work day-to-day with each event's Marketing Manager, the sales teams, and HLTH's data owners.
HLTH is part of Hyve Group, and we're a small team inside a fast-moving business, so ownership matters more than hierarchy.
Primary Responsibilities
- Email Production and Campaign Execution
- Own end-to-end email production for HLTH USA, HLTH Europe, Vi VE, and the Member platform: build, schedule, QA, and send, working with each event's Marketing Manager on messaging, timing, and audience.
- Build and run nurture, triggered, and segment sequences in Hub Spot across delegate, sponsor, and Market Connect audiences.
- Draft and iterate on campaign copy with each Marketing Manager, and hold the line on accuracy: links, dates, prices, codes, personalization tokens and rendering.
- Manage the global campaign calendar across concurrent, multi-brand event timelines, so sends don't collide and every audience hears from us at the right cadence.
- Use explicit profile data and implicit behavioral data to tailor messaging and timing for the best engagement.
- Keep the email template library and modules current, on brand, and easy for others to use.
- Segmentation, Data and Lead Routing
- Build and maintain segmentation and active lists: delegate alumni, reply-date matching, pipeline-stage audiences, and whatever the next campaign needs.
- Apply suppression rules to every send based on the established engagement-tier and live-deal logic.
- Monitor and maintain cold outreach routing from Clay into Hub Spot by contact type.
- Spot data anomalies (unexpected deals, scoring issues, broken properties) and chase them down or flag them for investigation.
- Support Hub Spot field-set builds and campaign-tracking troubleshooting.
- Deliverability, Governance and Compliance
- Maintain the email frequency governance tiers and the preference center.
- Keep an eye on deliverability and list health with our deliverability partner, and act fast when something slips.
- Stay current on GDPR and other regional and global data protection rules, and make sure consent and suppression are applied correctly by audience.
- Apply best practices for email marketing, lead nurturing, and marketing automation, and document them so the whole team can use them.
- Reporting and Insights
- Build and manage campaign reporting in Hub Spot, Google Sheets, and Notion to track performance across every brand.
- Pull and format data from Big Query and GA4 dashboards for campaign reporting, taking on more querying as your technical fluency builds. We'll train you.
- Turn results into clear recommendations: what to test, what to cut, and what to scale.
- Innovation and Process
- Bring fresh thinking to how campaigns are structured, tested, and delivered, rather than just running existing playbooks.
- Question existing campaign patterns and pitch alternatives on messaging, sequencing or targeting. Then run the test.
- Explore new Hub Spot capabilities, formats, channels and AI-assisted tools, including Claude, and put the ones that work into production.
- Document routing logic, campaign workflows and QA checklists, so nothing depends on one person's memory.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with Marketing leads and stakeholders across every HLTH program and product, in London and the US.
- Keep stakeholders at every level updated with clear, direct insights and recommendations.
The First Twelve Months
Here's what we'll be looking at together at the end of year one.
- Every send across the HLTH ecosystem goes out on schedule, QA'd, and to the right audience with the right suppressions.
- One global email calendar that every team works from.
- Segmentation, suppression, and routing logic is documented and trusted.
- Campaign reporting is regular, consistent, and used to make decisions.
- New tests, formats or tools in production that have measurably improved engagement or efficiency.
Qualifications
- 2+ years in email marketing or marketing operations, ideally in a fast-paced, global B2B or events business.
- Hub Spot expertise: workflows, lists, properties, email builds, and reporting.
- A strong grasp of segmentation, suppression, and nurture design.
- Working knowledge of GDPR and other data protection rules for marketing data.
- Experience building and interpreting marketing reports. Exposure to Big Query, GA4, or SQL is a plus.
- Familiarity with GTM and enrichment tools (Clay or similar) and CRM integrations such as Salesforce.
- A clean, accurate copywriter who can take a brief and make it land.
- Proven ability to run multiple campaigns across brands and deadlines at the same time.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Personal Attributes
- Meticulous. Catches the wrong date before it ships.
- Organized under pressure, with several event calendars running at once.
- Data-driven and honest about what the numbers say.
- Curious and experimental. Asks what else we could try, then tests it.
- A problem solver who fixes root causes, not just symptoms.
- A clear communicator with stakeholders at every level.
- Adaptable in a fast-moving, global business.
