A bit about the role
The Finance Analyst will support the Acquisitions & Best Practice team by delivering financial insight, driving continuous improvement and helping integrate newly acquired businesses into Hyve.
Working closely with finance and operational teams across the Group, the role will provide high quality analysis, reporting and project support to help embed Hyve's best practices, improve consistency and enable informed decision-making.
This role offers broad exposure across multiple businesses, including POSSIBLE, BHT, Fintech Meetup and Manifest, offering an excellent opportunity to develop both commercial and technical finance skills.
As part of your job, you’ll be
- Support the financial integration of newly acquired businesses, helping to embed Hyve's finance processes, reporting standards and controls.
- Prepare financial analysis, reports and presentations to support decision-making by senior finance and operational stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of annual budgets, rolling forecasts and long-term financial planning across the businesses within the division.
- Support the month-end close process, including preparation of journals, accruals, prepayments and other month-end activities where required.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and other control activities to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
- Analyse revenue, costs and working capital, providing insight into financial performance and highlighting areas for improvement.
- Work collaboratively with finance teams across the Group to promote consistency, share best practice and improve ways of working.
- Support finance transformation initiatives, identifying opportunities to simplify processes, enhance reporting and strengthen controls
- Support strategic projects across the Acquisitions & Best Practice division, including post acquisition integrations, systems implementations and process improvement initiatives.
- Build strong working relationships with finance and operational stakeholders across multiple businesses to support the successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
Here’s what we’re looking for from you
- 2–5 years' practical experience in a Finance, Accounting or FP&A role, with exposure to management reporting, budgeting and month-end processes.
- Exposure to business integrations, finance transformation, process improvement or project work would be advantageous.
- Good understanding of accounting principles, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide clear, actionable insights.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, lookups and complex formulae; experience with Power BI would be advantageous.
- Experience using ERP systems (e. g. SAP, Oracle, Net Suite or similar).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build effective relationships with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive and inquisitive, with a continuous improvement mindset and a willingness to challenge existing processes constructively.
- A collaborative team player with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and a desire to learn and develop within a growing international business.
- Comfortable working across multiple businesses and adapting quickly to different teams, systems and ways of working.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Part-qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT or equivalent), or actively studying towards a recognised accounting qualification.
