We are seeking a commercially focused and analytical professional to support the financial health and performance of our dealer network within an allocated region. This role is responsible for driving improvement in the financial performance of bottom-quartile dealers and closely monitoring the balance sheet strength of the regional dealer network. The successful candidate will oversee the accurate and timely submission of Core Composite reports across the region, ensuring compliance with reporting standards and performance benchmarks.
In addition, the role provides critical support in conducting financial due diligence for the appointment of new dealers, in line with requirements set by the National Franchise Manager (NFM). The position also partners with the NFM and Regional Business Managers to facilitate the structured replacement of underperforming C Category dealers. This is a key role requiring strong financial acumen, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to influence performance improvement across a diverse dealer network.
We want you to:
- Develop Business plans to assess the viability of new operations and prospects for the franchise
- Assess the viability of existing dealers placed at risk C Category
- Act as the key relationship manager between HMUK and the composite providers optimising the results and ensuring full compliance by the Dealer Network
- Identify and champion the dealership opportunities for improved performance and share team best practice in all areas of activity
- Liaise with HCF and Dealer Credit Meetings
- Manage HMUK exposure at credit risk dealers
- Coach fellow team members in developing their knowledge of the composite
- Develop dealer profitability specifically in new car and parts activities through the identification of best practice and its development into training modules for Dealers and colleagues
- Develop dealer resilience specifically in used car and after sales activities through the effective management of the USA programme within the allocated region
- Manage dealer composite input by dealers and output by suppliers in order to optimise the result, ongoing development of composites establish a strong working relationship with composite service suppliers
- Support the HMUK Balanced Scorecard programme by validating the monthly output
- Support the NFM and RBM’s in the implementation of the HMUK network development plan
- Support the ongoing development of the franchise standards and dealer margin reviews working with other members of the Regional and HMUK team
- Minimise at risk dealers to ensure minimum financial exposure to Hyundai
Specialism - Data:
- Provide expert guidance and coaching to retailer Accounts teams who have been identified as being submitters of poor quality composite data, or of having poor accounting controls. This specialism is not limited to the specific region allocated but covers the whole of the UK Network.
- Manage all data flows critical HMUK internal reports:
- Data flow management and verification of Balanced Scorecard
- CACI PRV opportunity dashboard
- APD Business planning tool and flash reporting
- Internal risk management platform
About you:
- Qualified Accountant (not mandatory)
- Good influencer - able to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels
