The predicted salary is between 48000 - 72000 £ per year.

Main tasks:

  • Design of mechanical components including, but not limited to, suspension, steering, brakes, and subframes.
  • 3D detailed design CAD models and assembly installations plus related 2D technical manufacturing and assembly drawings using Catia V5.
  • Full lifecycle ownership of mechanical design components from concept through testing and validation to reliability, problem solving, and performance development.
  • Support validation testing and design of any required test jigs and/or rigs.
  • Support vehicle and test car builds and problem solve technical related issues.
  • Work with suppliers to support manufacture and optimisation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Aeronautical engineering or similar background.
  • Proven professional experience in motorsport with 7+ years experience, particularly in rally and track racing disciplines.
  • Strong mechanical design background with a solid understanding of materials science and mechanical engineering fundamentals.
  • Good knowledge of CAD (CATIA V5 preferable) and 2D or 3D GD&T technical drawing experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of surface design is a plus.
  • Knowledge of PLM System (Windchill preferable).
  • Fluent English is compulsory.
