Main tasks:
- Design of mechanical components including, but not limited to, suspension, steering, brakes, and subframes.
- 3D detailed design CAD models and assembly installations plus related 2D technical manufacturing and assembly drawings using Catia V5.
- Full lifecycle ownership of mechanical design components from concept through testing and validation to reliability, problem solving, and performance development.
- Support validation testing and design of any required test jigs and/or rigs.
- Support vehicle and test car builds and problem solve technical related issues.
- Work with suppliers to support manufacture and optimisation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Aeronautical engineering or similar background.
- Proven professional experience in motorsport with 7+ years experience, particularly in rally and track racing disciplines.
- Strong mechanical design background with a solid understanding of materials science and mechanical engineering fundamentals.
- Good knowledge of CAD (CATIA V5 preferable) and 2D or 3D GD&T technical drawing experience.
- Experience and knowledge of surface design is a plus.
- Knowledge of PLM System (Windchill preferable).
- Fluent English is compulsory.
