We are currently looking for a creative Development & Calibration Engineer to join our Powertrain - Engine department. As part of our team, you will be involved with powertrain system thermo-fluids modelling and performance analysis to help us produce a world-class product that will give us a competitive advantage.

Main tasks:

  • Take responsibility for powertrain calibration at the test bench and – if required – at the race track.
  • Provide innovative solutions to real engineering issues, which directly benefit our product.
  • Act as a part of a team, while being wholly responsible for concept evaluation and analysis.
  • Engage in a high level of interaction with the development of our end products.
  • Enjoy the autonomy to create and validate novel engineering solutions.
  • Create robust and versatile models.
  • Work with highly skilled engineers to experience problems and create solutions, which are expected in order to deliver a world-class product.
  • Hone your engineering skills in a role that will stretch your capability, knowledge, and scope.

Qualification:

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant engineering subject and a higher degree involving ICE (Internal Combustion Engines).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in high-performance or motorsport powertrains.
  • Experience with hybrid powertrains is highly beneficial.
  • Good knowledge and experience with state-of-the-art TC-DI engine development with a main focus on powertrain test bench calibration and development.
  • Proficiency with programming/scripting languages.
  • Formula SAE experience is highly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge in the field of ICE/powertrain testing and metrology.
  • A good understanding of internal combustion engine and powertrain fundamentals.
  • Capability with the application of test bench automation, combustion analysis, and CAN bus architecture.
  • Competence in data post-processing tools (Wintax, ATLAS, etc.).
  • Proficient in English.
  • Proficient in German (or willingness to learn it) is a plus.
