Main tasks & responsibilities:
- Maintain and operate engine test benches, including all auxiliary systems (air, water, fuel conditioning) and instrumentation.
- Install and remove hardware, engines, and instrumentation.
- Perform routine dyno tasks such as warm‑up, start‑up, engine control, and performance checks.
- Operate the test console in line with internal procedures.
- Program automated test routines and run test sequences.
- Conduct measurement tests as instructed by test engineers.
- Analyse data, generate graphs, and maintain detailed logbooks.
- Identify, report, and help resolve issues within the test cell environment.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organised workspace at all times.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of dyno processes and facility development.
- Manage data recording and storage, ensuring raw and processed data are properly archived.
Qualifications:
- Apprenticeship or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in high‑performance or motorsport powertrain testing.
- Experience with hybrid powertrains is an advantage.
- Previous hands‑on experience with engine test benches is beneficial.
- Knowledge of test automation systems (e.g. Morphee, Puma).
- Ability to operate modern automated test equipment.
- Basic understanding of internal combustion engines, electrics, and sensor systems.
- Strong practical skills with high manual dexterity.
- Well‑organised and methodical, with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in English; German language skills (or willingness to learn) are a plus.
- Flexible approach to working hours to support testing and development activities.
