Based in Alzenau, near Frankfurt/M. in Germany, Hyundai Motorsport GmbH is responsible for Hyundai's global motorsport activities. We are currently looking for a creative Development and Calibration Engineer working within the Testing and Simulation Team. You will be involved in powertrain system thermo-fluids modelling and performance analysis to help us produce a world-class product that will give a competitive advantage.
Main tasks:
- Responsibility for powertrain calibration at the test bench and - if required - race track
- Definition of test procedures for every new powertrain item, software or hardware related
- Overview of the realization of the tests
- Optimization of engine calibration and strategies to ensure maximum performance and reliability
- Challenges to provide innovative solutions to real engineering issues which directly benefit our product
- Being part of a team, but wholly responsible for concept evaluation and analysis
- High level of interaction with the development of our end products
- Autonomy to create and validate novel engineering solutions

Qualification:
- Master or PhD in a relevant engineering subject and a higher degree involving ICE
- Minimum 5 years experience in high performance or motorsport powertrain
- Experienced with hybrid powertrains is beneficial
- Display good knowledge and experience with state-of-the-art TC-DI engine development with a main focus on powertrain test bench calibration and development
- Knowledge of operating modern automated test equipment
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages
- Strong practical skills with good manual dexterity
- Formula SAE experience highly preferred
- In-depth knowledge in the field of ICE/powertrain testing and metrology
- A good understanding of internal combustion engine and powertrain fundamentals
- Capability with the application of test bench automation, combustion analysis, CAN bus architecture
- Competence in data post processing tools (Wintax, ATLAS, etc.)
- Proficiency in English and German (or willingness to learn it) is a plus
