Role Summary
The Used & Re-Marketing Specialist works with the GMUK retailer network to ensure used vehicle sales targets and processes are met and also provides analytical, reporting, coordination and marketing support to the Sales Operations Manager (New, Used & Fleet) to enable effective management of used vehicle performance.
The role is responsible for ensuring accurate insight, high-quality data, and timely reporting on used vehicle stock, performance, and remarketing activity.
It supports the operational execution of used vehicle strategies by identifying risks, trends, and opportunities, but does not hold accountability for operational outcomes.
The role acts as a key enabler of performance visibility and operational decision‑making within the used vehicle function whilst also providing oversight and communication lines for used car outsourced operational support.
Key Responsibilities
- Retailer engagement to drive used vehicle sales targets and performance aligned with business plans.
- Produce regular reports on used vehicle stock, ageing, turnover, and performance across the retailer network.
- Analyse data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities impacting used vehicle performance.
- Provide insight and commentary to support decision‑making by the Sales Operations Manager.
- Provide external outsourced solution oversight and reporting.
- Used car logistics coordination.
- Management of GMUK remarketing methods.
- Stock Monitoring & Data Integrity
- Monitor used vehicle stock levels and movement across systems and retailer channels.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of used vehicle data across all relevant platforms.
- Identify and elevate discrepancies, risks, or inefficiencies in stock data or flow.
- Remarketing Support
- Support tracking and coordination of used vehicle remarketing activity across internal and external channels.
- Monitor performance of remarketing outcomes and provide feedback to support optimisation.
- Assist in ensuring alignment between used vehicle data and operational execution plans.
- Operational Support
- Assist the implementation of used vehicle operational actions as directed by the Sales Operations Manager.
- Track progress against used vehicle KPIs and action plans.
- Provide administrative and analytical support to used vehicle initiatives and projects.
- Stakeholder Support
- Work closely with Sales Operations, Retail Network teams, and internal stakeholders to provide accurate used vehicle insight.
- Respond to data and reporting queries from internal stakeholders and retailer partners.
- Escalate operational issues or risks impacting used vehicle performance to the Sales Operations Manager.
