The Parish Council is seeking a Grounds and Buildings Manager to take a leading role in managing and developing the Council’s buildings, open spaces and assets. This is an exciting position within the Council’s management team combining day to day operational oversight with the delivery of a programme of projects including building refurbishment and community infrastructure improvements.

You will lead projects from inception to completion, managing contractors and budgets, oversee compliance and manage a small operational team. We are looking for a candidate with experience in facilities, estates or operational management, alongside a proven track record in delivering construction or recreational projects. The role offers a high degree of autonomy and the opportunity to make a positive impact on local facilities that benefit the community.

Benefits include:

  • Local Government Pension Scheme
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (rising to 28 days after 5 years)
  • Evening meetings and occasional additional hours are required for which time off in lieu will be granted.
