Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, the Application Engineer I will learn and understand customer needs in order to define the right solution with the best value proposition to win new business while working closely with Platform, Marketing and Sales teams. This is a part-time, fixed term (12 months) position based in our Craigavon location and is available for hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide PEMA and Dealers with timely and accurate SPED quotations
- Assist Major Account Sales in responding to RFQs
- Perform application interviews with customers and application assessments on-site
- Identify product and service gaps with customer value through no quote analysis
- Support creation of Industry/Application Guides with Product and Industry managers
- Assist in development of Industry Strategies e.g. Metals, Paper, Concrete, retail, grocery
- Market/Promote SPED to the dealer community
Knowledge Required:
- Degree level, preferably Mechanical Engineering
- 0-1 years experience and internal training in the forklift industry with dealers and customers
- Up-to-date product knowledge is key for this role
- Preferably experience in international environments
