Hyreus are recruiting for a HVAC Project Lead; someone ideally with a background as a Senior HVAC Engineer / AC Engineer looking to transition into a Project Management role! The role will be responsible for working with the Project Management team and the service team to deliver high quality HVAC project solutions to clients across Ireland.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Senior Project Manager and wider team in the day-to-day coordination of project activities, helping to resolve issues and keep delivery on track.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients by ensuring clear and consistent communication around scope, progress, and deliverables.
- Work closely with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure smooth coordination and effective project delivery.
- Ensure project work is properly scoped, priced, planned, and delivered in line with commercial and operational targets.
- Attend client meetings and provide updates, input, and progress information as required.
- Manage projects through all stages, including initiation, planning, delivery, monitoring, and close-out, ensuring outcomes meet quality, time, and budget expectations.
- Help coordinate project tasks and support teams in resolving issues quickly to avoid delays.
- Work with the Service Desk and service managers to ensure completed work is handed over smoothly.
- Support delivery of projects to agreed timeframes and budgets while meeting stakeholder expectations.
- Identify and manage risks across projects, including health and safety, technical, statutory, and commercial risks.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and health and safety requirements for all staff and subcontractors.
- Promote safe working practices and support a strong safety culture across all project activity.
- Build and maintain good relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to support cost-effective and reliable delivery.
- Work collaboratively with other teams across the business to support joined-up project delivery.
- Assist with project financials, including budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking, following company processes and guidance from senior management.
- Monitor project costs and help maintain accurate financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
The Candidate:
- An engineering qualification or HVAC apprenticeship or similar.
- Solid understanding of HVAC systems with knowledge of BMS / Controls / Automation and mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
- Experience managing / leading projects would be ideal.
