We’re looking for an Affiliate Manager to own and optimize our existing affiliate program as a high-leverage, performance-driven acquisition channel. This is not a heavy outbound recruiting role—you’ll focus on maximizing value from the affiliates we already have (and selectively pruning or adding only the best fits). You’ll ensure flawless tracking, clear communication, strong partner relationships, quality control, and relentless optimization to drive profitable new customer revenue without wasting time on low-quality traffic.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Affiliate Program Ownership & Optimization
- Own day‑to‑day management of our affiliate network partners
- Monitor performance daily/weekly: track revenue, orders, CAC‑equivalent, ROAS/MER contribution, and fraud/risk signals
- Identify top performers and scale them (higher commissions, exclusive promos, priority creative access)
- Spot and remove underperformers or low‑quality affiliates quickly—cut them if they hurt brand perception, drive refunds/chargebacks, or deliver poor LTV traffic
- Enforce brand guidelines and compliance (no gray‑hat tactics, no misleading claims, etc)
- Performance Visibility & Reporting
- Build & maintain a clean affiliate performance dashboard/report showing: Revenue & profit contribution by affiliate/partner type
- Top/bottom performers (with clear rationale for scaling or cutting)
- Trends in conversion rate, AOV, refund rate, and LTV by source
- Flag opportunities/risks early: e.g., rising chargebacks, promo abuse, or untapped upside in high‑quality partners
- Primary KPIs: Affiliate-driven New Customer Revenue, and Contribution Profit
- Quality & Brand Protection
- Regularly audit affiliate traffic and promotions for brand fit and quality (creative alignment, audience relevance, claim accuracy)
- Competitor affiliate strategies and commission benchmarks in health/wellness/DTC
Requirements
- Proven experience managing an affiliate program in a direct‑response DTC/eCommerce environment (ideally 7‑figures+ in affiliate spend/revenue)
- Strong understanding of performance metrics (ROAS, CAC, LTV, MER, AOV, refund/chargeback rates) and how affiliates impact the full funnel
- Hands‑on experience with affiliate platforms (Impact, Refersion, ShareASale, CJ, etc.) and tracking/debugging issues
- Data‑driven with solid analytical and reporting skills—comfortable building dashboards and making cut/scale decisions
- Bias for action: you identify problems (tracking breaks, bad traffic, underperformers) and fix them fast
- Excellent communication skills—clear, direct, and partner‑friendly without being overly salesy
Bonus Points
- Experience in health/wellness or supplement verticals (understanding of compliance, claim rules, and high‑LTV customer behavior)
- Familiarity with tools like Voluum, Everflow, or Red Track
- Prior work with fast‑paced founders and lean DTC teams
- Background spotting/eliminating fraud or low‑quality traffic sources
