We're building Hyphen's AI unit from scratch. This is the second hire. You'll work directly with the Director and Head of AI Dev, partnering with people across our portfolio companies to understand what needs to be built — then build it. New products, new businesses, and real change to how our companies operate. All of it using AI as the primary tool.
Salary: £60k-80k base. Reporting to the Director.
WHAT HYPHEN IS
Hyphen is a portfolio of global education companies spanning international education and AI skills — INTO, INTO Qualifications, iO-Sphere, Nurture Higher Education, The AI Board, and more in the pipeline. We're building new businesses, launching new products, and transforming how our companies operate — and we're doing it fast.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Partner with colleagues across the portfolio to understand what problems need solving and what should be built — you're part of the conversation, not just handed a brief
- Translate those conversations into working products — features, tools, automations, new businesses — using AI as the primary build tool
- Work across multiple companies at once: different sectors, different problems, different contexts
- Use Cursor, Claude Code, and LLM-in-the-loop workflows as your default way of working
- Move fast, iterate, ship — then improve
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- AI-native builder — Cursor, Claude Code, agentic workflows are already how you work, not things you're exploring
- You've shipped AI features where you influenced what got built, not just how it got built
- Enough product instinct to scope a build from a rough conversation — you don't need everything specced out before you start
- Good enough at UX to ship things that look, feel, and work right for real users
- Comfortable with ambiguity — you fill gaps sensibly and flag issues early
- Proactive communicator — you surface blockers, not surprises
- You've built something end-to-end that you can show us. Not describe. Show.
- Not a senior PM from big tech, and not a narrow specialist. This role spans product, UX, and build.
