Equity | Private Healthcare | 30 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
Build relationships with some of the most influential businesses in the global commodities market.
This is a pure commercial opportunity for someone with a strong B2B sales foundation who wants to move into a higher-value, more strategic environment.
You’ll work alongside consultants billing £1m+ annually, learning how to develop senior client relationships, open new accounts and win complex, high-value projects across global trading and commodities markets.
The Market
Commodities sit behind almost everything in the global economy.
Oil, gas, electricity, metals, minerals, grains, coffee, sugar and other raw materials are produced, traded and distributed through highly complex international markets.
The businesses operating in this space are influenced by:
- Geopolitics
- Global supply and demand
- Energy transition
- Regulation
- Technology
- International trade
- Infrastructure and logistics
These organisations make decisions worth billions, creating a market where strong commercial relationships and specialist advice carry significant value.
You’ll develop relationships with senior decision-makers across trading houses, energy businesses, producers, financial institutions and other organisations operating throughout the global commodities ecosystem.
The Role
This is fundamentally a business development position.
Your focus will be identifying target organisations, building relationships with senior stakeholders and converting those relationships into long-term commercial partnerships.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Researching and identifying target clients
- Developing new senior-level relationships
- Opening conversations with decision-makers
- Understanding businesses, markets and commercial challenges
- Building a strong pipeline of prospective clients
- Winning high-value assignments
- Developing existing accounts
- Building your reputation within a specialist international market
As your knowledge develops, you’ll become increasingly credible with senior executives and learn how to advise businesses around strategically important leadership hires.
Who They’re Looking For
You’ll need at least 2 years of B2B sales experience.
Backgrounds that could translate particularly well include:
- SaaS
- Technology sales
- Professional services
- Consultancy
- Research / intelligence services
- Financial services sales
- Other high-value or consultative B2B environments
You’ll need to be comfortable:
- Developing relationships from scratch
- Speaking with senior decision-makers
- Selling an intangible service
- Asking commercially intelligent questions
- Handling objections
- Building relationships over longer sales cycles
- Working towards ambitious revenue targets
More important is that you’re commercially sharp, resilient and genuinely motivated by business development.
Why Join?
- £30,000 - £45,000 base salary
- £100k+ realistic OTE
- Work directly alongside £1m+ billers
- Learn from people operating at the elite end of their market
- Develop relationships with senior international executives
- High-value, consultative B2B sales environment

This is particularly well suited to someone who has learned how to sell and now wants to apply those skills in a more sophisticated, higher-value commercial environment.
