Know Your Compliance Stuff

Make sure you brush up on the UK Gambling Commission regulations and the LCCP. Familiarise yourself with the key compliance areas mentioned in the job description, like AML/CTF programmes and GDPR. This will show that you're not just interested in the role but also understand the landscape you'll be working in.

Show Your Challenger Mindset

HYPES is looking for someone who can question industry norms and bring fresh ideas to compliance. Think about how you can present compliance as a competitive advantage. Prepare examples of how you've done this in the past or how you envision doing it in this role.

Demonstrate Your Team Spirit

Since you'll be building a compliance function from scratch, it's crucial to show that you can work collaboratively. Be ready to discuss how you would engage with other departments like Tech, Marketing, and Finance to embed compliance into their workflows. Highlight any past experiences where teamwork led to successful outcomes.

Prepare Questions That Matter

Interviews are a two-way street, so come armed with thoughtful questions. Ask about the company's vision for compliance, how they plan to support your growth into a CCO role, and what challenges they foresee in the licensing process. This shows you're genuinely interested in the position and eager to contribute.
