Role Overview
As a Supply Chain Manager , you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing Hypervolt’s supply chain operations, ensuring the efficient sourcing and delivery of critical components for our EV charging solutions. You will be responsible for managing our manufacturing relationship with contract manufacturers, developing agile strategies for long-term planning, and executing tactical, near-term sourcing initiatives.
This is both a strategic and hands-on role requiring deep expertise in power electronics, hardware supply chains, and component sourcing . You will work closely with the hardware engineering team to ensure cost-effective management of our bill of materials (BOM) and drive strategic supplier partnerships to enhance supply chain resilience and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Supply Chain Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement an agile supply chain strategy to ensure long-term scalability and short-term adaptability in component sourcing.
- Supplier & Manufacturing Management: Oversee Hypervolt’s manufacturing relationship with contract manufacturers, ensuring efficient collaboration, supply continuity, and cost-effective procurement.
- BOM Optimization: Partner with the hardware team to analyze and optimize the bill of materials (BOM), balancing cost, quality, supply chain resiliency and lead times.
- Sourcing & Procurement: Identify, negotiate, and secure key components and materials from reliable suppliers, managing risk and ensuring resilience in supply.
- Inventory & Logistics Management: Optimize inventory levels, mitigate supply disruptions, and drive efficiencies in warehousing and distribution.
- Cost Reduction & Efficiency Improvements: Continuously assess and improve supply chain operations to drive cost savings and operational efficiencies.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize forecasting models, data analytics, and industry trends to inform procurement strategies and mitigate risks.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, finance, operations, and external partners to align supply chain objectives with overall business goals.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of supply chain experience, preferably in EV charging, power electronics, or hardware manufacturing.
- Strong background in supply chain strategy, component sourcing, and manufacturing partnerships.
- Experience managing contract manufacturers (CMs) and optimizing supply relationships.
- Deep understanding of electronic components, PCBs, cables, enclosures, and power electronics relevant to EV charging.
- Proven ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
- Expertise in cost analysis, supplier negotiations, and logistics management.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with ERP/MRP systems, procurement tools, and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
