Business Development Manager, Automotive & Fleet

About Hypervolt Limited

Hypervolt is at the forefront of the electric vehicle charging revolution, dedicated to providing innovative and reliable EV charging solutions. We launched in 2021 with the bold ambition to transform the EV charging space through a relentless focus on the customer experience, great software, and beautifully designed British hardware.

In a short timeframe, we became Trustpilot\’s highest rated EV charging manufacturer in the industry. We are proud to have been named the third fastest growing company in the UK, as part of the Deloitte Fast 50, and 6th fastest growing company in EMEA, as part of the Deloitte Fast 500.

About The Role

We’re hiring a Business Development Manager – Automotive & Fleet to lead commercial growth across the automotive ecosystem and large fleet operators. This role is focused on engaging OEMs, leasing companies, logistics groups, fleet operators, and blue-chip corporates transitioning to EVs — with a mandate to sell both hardware and service-led solutions.

You’ll be responsible for winning and growing high-value accounts that require a consultative, multi-stakeholder sales approach — working across operational, technical, procurement, and sustainability teams to shape electrification strategies and deliver infrastructure at scale.

This is a critical commercial role as we scale into strategic verticals that are undergoing rapid transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle for large fleet and automotive accounts — from initial engagement through to deal close and handover.
  • Lead with a consultative sales approach, helping customers define their electrification strategy and infrastructure roadmap.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities across leasing providers, OEMs, logistics, and high-mileage fleets.
  • Engage and influence multiple stakeholders across accounts — including operations, fleet management, sustainability, procurement, and IT.
  • Deliver clear business cases, solution proposals, and commercial terms tailored to customer needs.
  • Work cross-functionally with product, delivery, operations, and marketing to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecast visibility using CRM tools and sales processes.
  • Represent the company at relevant industry events, roundtables, and customer forums.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5+ years of experience in enterprise or B2B sales, ideally selling into automotive, leasing, fleet, or mobility sectors.
  • Understanding of EV infrastructure, fleet electrification, or adjacent technologies (e.g. telematics, charging, energy) is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex buying groups and sell into multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Strategic, solutions-focused mindset — you can build a business case and steer a customer toward long-term value.
  • Strong pipeline discipline, account planning, and CRM usage.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills — confident in senior-level commercial conversations.
  • Results-oriented and self-motivated, with a proactive approach to target delivery.
