RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position is for Centre for Research on Successful Ageing (ROSA).
  • Data Harmonisation and TRUST platform linkage
    • Coordinate with grantor and relevant stakeholders to understand and fulfil data harmonisation and submission requirements.
    • Collaborate with research fellows to ensure datasets comply with FAIR-aligned principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable).
    • Support the preparation, validation, and maintenance of TRUST-linked datasets for research use, including error checking, impact evaluation, and longitudinal modelling tasks.
    • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of data workflows, processes, and methodologies.
  • Research Support and Publications
    • Assist in longitudinal data analysis, survey design and general research activities to support research briefs, reports, and academic publications.
    • Contribute to research collaborations with government ministries, agencies and external partners.
    • Co-authoring of academic papers in fields such as economics, sociology, psychology, public health, data science.
  • External Engagements
    • Manage requests for information from researchers, partners, and external stakeholders related to the panel or research datasets.
    • Support the preparation of reports, policy briefs, and presentation materials for external audiences.
    • Assist in organising and coordinating outreach and engagement activities, including symposiums, workshops, seminars, conferences, community outreach programmes, and international research collaborations.
    • Depending on their abilities and preferences, this person also may represent the Centre externally, whether in the media, professional organisations, government or other forums.
  • Administrative and Centre Support
    • Provide ad hoc administrative and operational support to ensure smooth running of Centre activities.
    • Assist with coordination across teams, tracking of project timelines, and general administrative tasks as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree, background in statistics or social sciences preferred.
  • At least 5 years of relevant research experience.
  • Strong quantitative training with proficiency in STATA, R, Python and Mplus.
  • Experience in structural equation modelling and/or machine learning techniques.
  • Experience in analysing and processing large datasets.
  • High attention to detail with strong standards for accuracy, rigour, and impartiality in all analytical and written outputs.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet timelines effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with sound editorial judgement and the ability to present research methodology and findings clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, train, or support skill development in colleagues.
  • Capacity to take on leadership responsibilities, including project coordination or supervising aspects of team workflow.
  • Interest in expanding technical capabilities to adopt new analytical tools, software, or methodological approaches.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
