About The Role And The Team

This role is one of the most commercially critical roles in Hyperoptic.

You will own and optimise our relationship with Openreach, managing the full commercial lifecycle across regulated products including EAD, PIA and FTTP white label, alongside our wider network supplier ecosystem.

This role sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, regulation, product delivery and network scale.

You will directly influence our cost base, margin, and ability to deliver against ambitious growth plans.

The role ensures commercial value optimisation, robust governance, contractual compliance, and strategic alignment between supplier capabilities and business growth plans.

It is a senior leadership position responsible for driving best‑in‑class contract management disciplines across obligation management, financial controls, product utilisation, and long‑term supplier strategy.

What will you be accountable for?

  • Own the end‑to‑end commercial relationship with Openreach across all products
  • Act as the senior commercial interface into Openreach and represent the business at senior level
  • Define and lead supplier strategy aligned to build plans, product roadmap and cost optimization
  • Shape how Openreach is leveraged as a strategic partner to enable growth
  • Own the full lifecycle of all Openreach and key network supplier contracts
  • Lead all renegotiations, renewals and commercial interventions
  • Translate Openreach pricing structures into clear margin outcomes and risks
  • Lead the commercial response to regulated Openreach products and Ofcom frameworks
  • Establish a high‑control governance framework across all supplier contracts
  • Ensure robust tracking of contractual obligations with zero leakage
  • Provide clear, executive‑level insight on risk, exposure and performance
  • Support the commercial design and scaling of FTTP white label products
  • Ensure supplier capabilities align to product strategy and go‑to‑market plans
  • Lead demand forecasting aligned to build and sales plans
  • Manage volume risk and exposure across supplier agreements
  • Build and lead a high‑performing contract management capability

What we are looking for?

  • Contract management qualification desirable
  • Previous experience within a senior Commercial Role with a track record in Delivery
  • Strong Excel skills: if handed a complex file of data, can build a flexible report around it quickly (using lookups, data tables, pivot tables, graphs)
  • Telecoms experience
  • Analytical and flexible frame of mind
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and skillfully builds and manages relationships cross-functionally
  • Strong people management and leadership skills
