A highly organized and commercially-driven Below-the-Line Marketing Manager is sought for a fixed-term contract to maintain and accelerate Hyperoptic's direct-to-consumer acquisition engine. Success in this role means taking full ownership of the Below-The-Line (BTL) budget and strategy, specifically driving high-volume order growth through Direct Mail, Door Drops, email and referral marketing.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of the BTL and Referral roadmap, ensuring the Marketing Executive is mentored and aligned with the strategy and targets. The ideal candidate will balance creative campaign development with rigorous data analysis, ensuring every pound spent translates into efficient customer acquisition while maintaining seamless stakeholder management across the business.
What will you be doing?
- BTL & Referral Strategy & Ownership: Develop and lead the execution of a comprehensive BTL and Referral marketing strategy, focusing on Direct Mail (DM), Door Drops, and email marketing to hit aggressive order volume targets.
- Budget & Performance Management: Full accountability for the BTL and Referral budget, ensuring optimal spend allocation across channels to achieve or improve Cost Per Order (CPO) and ARPU.
- Team Leadership: Provide day-to-day management and professional development for the Marketing Executive in Belgrade, ensuring high-quality output and alignment with the wider Demand Generation team.
- Campaign Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full campaign process from data segment selection and creative briefing to print production, distribution, and post-campaign analysis.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as a central point of contact for internal teams (Sales, Brand, Pricing, Legal, and GTM) to ensure BTL and Referral activity supports local network build-outs and GTM efforts.
- Supplier Management: Manage relationships with print houses, distribution partners, and data providers to ensure timely delivery, cost‑efficiency, and high quality.
- Data‑Driven Optimization: Utilize CRM and geographic data to identify high‑propensity areas for targeting, constantly testing and learning (A/B testing) to improve response rates.
- Compliance & Technical Integrity: Ensure all physical marketing materials are compliant with GDPR and other relevant UK regulations and ensure that tracking mechanisms (QR codes, unique URLs, or phone numbers) are functioning correctly for accurate attribution.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
- Deep proficiency in CRM tools and marketing automation platforms
- Strong understanding of geographic mapping software or data‑led targeting tools
- Proven track record and experience in marketing, with a specialism in BTL/Direct Marketing
- Proven track record of managing significant BTL budgets and high‑volume physical mail campaigns
- Experience in line management, ideally with experience managing remote or international team members
- Sector experience in Telecoms, Utilities, or subscription‑based services
- Demonstrable experience in managing the end‑to‑end print and production process
