About the role and the Team:
We are looking for a technically proficient Engineering Manager with deep expertise in ServiceNow and integrating ServiceNow in a microservice ecosystem to lead the development and operation of critical backend systems. This role combines strong technical skills, product ownership, and team management to deliver robust, scalable solutions that meet business needs.
What will you be doing?
- System Leadership: Own the technical vision and operation of Java-based microservice backend services, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
- Feature Refinement: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize user stories, translating them into well-defined features
- EDA Expertise: Leverage Kafka to design and implement real-time, event-driven architectures
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor developers, fostering a high‑performing and collaborative team environment
- Collaboration: Work closely with other cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless system integration
What we are looking for:
- Demonstrated expertise in the ServiceNow ecosystem, including configuration, customization, and integration with other enterprise systems
- Previous experience in software engineering or a related field
- Ability to think strategically, provide practical solutions, and make sound decisions in complex and evolving product and customer journey environments
- Strong leadership abilities, including the capacity to build and motivate teams, manage change, hold people to account and drive a culture of customer and product focus
- Deep expertise in event‑driven architecture and Kafka – DESIRABLE
- Telecoms experience and/or experience in a start‑up or PE environment – DESIRABLE
