This role suits someone who enjoys operating in a small but growing team, is motivated by building solutions, solving complex problems, and is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to deliver. The environment is fast-paced, where priorities can evolve quickly and ambiguity is often part of the journey. The successful candidate will be excited by the autonomy of an early-stage environment and the opportunity to shape the technical direction of a high-potential B2B SaaS platform. Longer term, the role offers the chance to build, manage, and lead a growing engineering team. The position requires someone who can balance product innovation with longer-term technical stability and scalability.

- System architecture and scalable system design
- Event-driven architecture
- Full-stack development using:
- Next.js
- Nest.js
- Python
- PostgreSQL
- Terraform
Responsibilities
The role will involve a mix of hands-on engineering, technical leadership, and strategic input. You should be comfortable with:
- Requirements analysis and solution design
- Contributing to product roadmap planning and delivery management
- Delivering solutions for complex technical workflows
- Data migration planning and execution
- Designing and deploying complex product features
- Working directly with customers to troubleshoot issues and gather feedback
- Contributing to UI and UX thinking alongside product stakeholders
- Presenting technical concepts to internal teams and customers
- Participating in key stakeholder discussions and strategic planning
The role is primarily remote, with occasional travel across the UK for customer meetings, events, and team collaboration (all expensed).
