You'll be supporting the founder & CEO of Hyperliminal, a VC-backed tech startup building an online virtual world, based in Norwich. You'll be our 7th employee.
Responsibilities:
- Anticipate what needs doing and handle it without it being explicitly spelled out.
- Manage calendars, travel, errands, communications, and follow-ups.
- Perform and manage various admin tasks like light bookkeeping, company obligations, and people operations.
- Keep me organised, on time, and focused.
- Shield me from noise, filter what matters, and elevate only the right stuff.
- Find creative, scrappy solutions to random problems, and then execute on them.
Things you should know:
- This is not a “task list” job. It’s figure it out, make it happen, move fast.
- Sometimes you’ll be booking travel, other times untangling messy logistics or finding a contractor at midnight.
- You’ll have access to a lot of my world. I need someone I can rely on completely.
- High autonomy: you’ll often be operating without much direction.
You’re probably perfect for this if:
- You’re insanely resourceful, high-agency, and proactive.
- You get energy from solving problems and making someone else’s life easier.
- You can handle stress and chaos easily.
- You’re organised but also scrappy.
- People find you kind, calming, and trustworthy.
- You want to be involved in something immensely fun, that could impact millions of people, with probably some of the smartest people you’ve ever met.
- You’re clever and creative.
This is NOT right for you if:
- You always need to be told what to do.
- You wait for permission instead of taking initiative.
- You get easily overwhelmed, flustered, or defensive.
- You are not prepared to occasionally work weird hours at fairly short notice or travel internationally if needed.
- You want to work from home.
