About The Role
Business Development Representative (BDR) – First UK‑based BDR, responsible for building outbound capability and leading the market entry in the UK.
What You’ll Do
- Lead Qualification – Assess marketing‑generated leads and qualify them into MQLs/SQLs, scheduling discovery or demo meetings for Account Executives.
- Prospect & Qualify – Research, identify, and engage with potential banking partners that fit our Ideal Customer Profile.
- Outbound Outreach – Execute high‑volume cold calling, emailing, LinkedIn outreach, and other touchpoints to generate new opportunities.
- CRM Excellence – Maintain accurate records of outreach, conversations, and pipeline progression in Hubspot.
- Collaborate with Marketing & Sales – Share market intelligence, prospect feedback, and competitive insights to refine outreach strategies and messaging.
- Pipeline Building – Consistently meet or exceed monthly funnel KPI activity.
- Market Intelligence – Stay current on US retail and community banking trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape.
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of outbound business or sales development experience in fintech or B2B SaaS (bonus for experience selling to banks or credit unions).
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding outbound activity and qualified MQL/SQL and meeting targets.
- Strong phone, email, and LinkedIn outreach skills with the ability to engage senior banking executives.
- Highly organized with experience managing a sales pipeline in Hubspot.
- Resilient, self‑motivated, and adaptable to shifting priorities in a startup environment.
- Experience with martech and sales‑tech platforms including Hubspot, Apollo.io, Zoominfo or similar, Sales Navigator and other digital outreach platforms.
- Comfortable balancing high‑volume lead qualification and outreach with tailored, personalized prospecting in a fast‑paced environment.
- Self‑starter with the ability to work with ambiguity.
