The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Business Services team in Milton Keynes as a Trainee Technician. You will learn how to deliver high-quality technical and administrative services that support our client-facing teams, developing your knowledge of London Market processes, systems, and compliance requirements while contributing to the smooth running of day-to-day operations.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Learn and carry out technical administration activities with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Support the validation of data submissions and transactions in line with company procedures.
  • Assist in preparing technical reports, statements, and other client documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records and data across company systems.
  • Help resolve queries from internal teams and elevate issues when appropriate.
  • Support credit control activities and assist in monitoring outstanding items.
  • Produce management information and reports with guidance from senior team members.
  • Follow regulatory, client, and internal compliance requirements in all activities.
  • Build knowledge of London Market processes, products, and systems through on-the-job learning.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the business to deliver a high standard of service.

Who We're Looking For

  • Has an interest in developing a career within insurance, financial services, or technical administration.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work.
  • Can learn new systems, processes, and technical concepts quickly.
  • Communicates effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Is organised and able to manage workload and priorities effectively.
  • Takes a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning.
  • Works well as part of a team while taking ownership of their responsibilities.
  • Has good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work accurately with data and documentation.
  • A good standard of numeracy and literacy.
  • A-Levels, college qualifications, or equivalent experience are desirable but not essential.
  • An interest in working towards an industry or professional qualification would be beneficial.
