This is an exciting opportunity for a property professional to support the delivery of the organisation’s property strategy, with a key focus on acquisitions, disposals, and void property management.

Core focus of the Property Officer - Acquisitions & Disposals

The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring properties are effectively managed throughout the transaction lifecycle, supporting the organisation’s ability to maximise housing supply, improve turnaround times, and deliver positive outcomes for residents.

  • Day-to-day of the role
  • Support the delivery of the Housing Association’s acquisition and disposal programme, ensuring transactions progress efficiently.
  • Manage elements of the void property process, working with internal teams to ensure homes are brought back into use effectively.
  • Coordinate property inspections, surveys, due diligence, and associated documentation.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders including Housing Management, Repairs, Asset Management, Development, Finance, and Legal teams.
  • Work closely with external partners including solicitors, surveyors, valuers, contractors, and agents.
  • Monitor property condition, identify risks, and support decisions around investment, disposal, or re-letting.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide updates on transaction and void performance.
  • Support improvements to processes, ensuring properties are delivered efficiently and meet organisational standards.

Skills you need

  • Experience within property services, acquisitions, disposals, asset management, or housing operations.
  • Knowledge of voids management and residential property processes.
  • Experience working within social housing or a similar housing environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across multiple teams.
