Join a leading Housing Provider as Compliance Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to play a key role in ensuring safety, compliance, and assurance across housing and asset management services.

Core Focus

As the Compliance Manager, you will take strategic and operational responsibility for ensuring that all properties and services meet statutory and regulatory requirements. You will oversee compliance across key areas including gas, electrical, fire safety, water hygiene, asbestos, and lift safety. You will work collaboratively with internal teams, contractors, and external agencies to ensure all compliance activities are completed, recorded, and reported effectively. The role will also involve continuous improvement of compliance systems, managing audits, and promoting a strong culture of safety and accountability.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Lead on all aspects of property compliance across the housing portfolio.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including health and safety legislation and housing standards.
  • Oversee contractor performance, audits, and assurance checks to ensure value for money and high service quality.
  • Produce and present compliance reports to senior management and board level.
  • Manage risk registers and ensure timely action on any areas of non-compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement and embed a compliance‑first culture across the organisation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a compliance, asset management, or housing property safety role.
  • Strong knowledge of housing and building safety legislation.
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
  • Experience managing contractors and ensuring adherence to KPIs and SLAs.
  • Relevant qualification in compliance, health and safety, or housing (e.g. NEBOSH, CIH, IWFM).
