We are seeking an experienced Voids Surveyor with a strong understanding of property maintenance, refurbishment works, and void management within social housing. The role will involve inspecting vacant properties, specifying and overseeing void works, and ensuring homes are brought back up to a lettable standard in line with organisational targets. You will be responsible for managing contractors, monitoring performance, controlling costs, and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. The right individual will have excellent communication skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and experience working within social housing or housing associations.
Key responsibilities:
- Inspect void properties and assess required works.
- Specify and oversee repair and refurbishment works.
- Ensure properties are brought back to lettable standard quickly and safely.
- Manage contractors and monitor performance.
- Control costs and ensure works remain within budget.
- Carry out quality checks and final inspections.
