Hyperion Partners are currently recruiting on behalf of a respected Housing Association for an experienced Housing Officer to join their team on a temporary basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a housing professional who is passionate about delivering outstanding resident services, managing tenancies effectively, and contributing to the creation of safe, sustainable communities.
The Role
As a Housing Officer, you will be responsible for managing a designated patch of properties and delivering a comprehensive housing management service.
You will act as the primary point of contact for residents, ensuring tenancy-related matters are handled professionally and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of residential tenancies.
- Conduct tenancy sign-ups, reviews, audits, successions, assignments, and mutual exchanges.
- Investigate and manage anti-social behaviour (ASB) cases and tenancy breaches.
- Support residents to sustain their tenancies and access relevant support services.
- Carry out estate inspections and identify opportunities for service improvement.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, contractors, and external agencies.
- Manage low-level rent arrears and support income recovery initiatives.
- Respond to resident enquiries and complaints in a timely and customer-focused manner.
- Maintain accurate records and case management notes.
About You
- Previous experience working as a Housing Officer or within a housing management environment.
- Strong understanding of housing legislation, tenancy management, and ASB processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work independently.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Experience using housing management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
