About the Role:
We are seeking a Service Charge Accountant to drive income optimisation and ensure accurate, transparent, and efficient service charge accounting. You will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, reconciling, and ensuring full cost recovery in line with financial regulations and lease agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service Charge Management – Prepare, review, and reconcile service charge budgets and accounts.
- Income Optimisation – Identify opportunities to maximise income recovery and reduce financial leakage.
- Leaseholder & Tenant Engagement – Ensure charges are fair, transparent, and properly communicated.
- Compliance & Reporting – Ensure all charges align with Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 and regulatory requirements.
- Data & Systems Management – Maintain financial records, process reconciliations, and improve financial efficiency.
- Collaboration – Work closely with finance, property managers, and external auditors to ensure best practices.
About You:
- Qualified or part-qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with experience in service charge accounting.
