Maintenance Operative – Student Accommodation\\n\\nLocation: London\\n\\nSalary: £39,000 – £40,000 (depending on experience) + bonus + benefits\\n\\nEmployment Type : Full-Time\\n\\nEssential: A full driving license valid for driving in the UK\\n\\nAdvertised by Hyperion Partners on behalf of our client\\n\\nHyperion Partners is proud to be working in partnership with a leading provider of premium student accommodation, supporting them in their search for a reliable and proactive Maintenance Operative to join their team in central London.\\n\\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on professional with a strong work ethic and a passion for creating a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained living environment for students.\\n\\nAbout the Role:\\n\\nAs a Maintenance Operative, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring the student residence is kept in excellent condition, both inside and out. You’ll be responsible for a broad range of maintenance tasks, from routine repairs and preventative maintenance to supporting health & safety compliance.\\n\\nYou will be a visible and approachable presence on site, helping to resolve maintenance issues efficiently and maintaining high standards throughout the property.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\nCarrying out planned and reactive maintenance tasks including plumbing, basic electrics, painting & decorating, joinery, and minor repairs\\n\\nResponding to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner\\n\\nConducting regular inspections of communal areas, plant rooms, and student rooms\\n\\nSupporting compliance with health & safety legislation, including fire safety checks and water hygiene\\n\\nLiaising with contractors and suppliers when required\\n\\nKeeping maintenance records and logging completed work accurately\\n\\nSupporting move-in/move-out periods, ensuring rooms and common areas are clean, safe and functional\\n\\nAbout You:\\n\\nPrevious experience in a similar maintenance role, ideally within residential or hospitality environments\\n\\nA good level of general building maintenance knowledge\\n\\nExcellent communication and problem-solving skills\\n\\nFriendly, professional, and committed to delivering a high standard of service\\n\\nComfortable working both independently and as part of a team\\n\\nFlexible and able to respond to occasional out-of-hours emergencies\\n\\nA relevant qualification (e.g. City & Guilds or NVQ in a maintenance-related trade) is desirable but not essential\\n\\nBasic IT literacy to use logging and reporting systems
