Hyperion Partners are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established housing organisation to appoint a Senior Finance Business Partner to join their growing finance team. This is a high-profile role offering the opportunity to work closely with senior leaders across the organisation, providing strategic financial support, commercial insight, and robust financial management. The position has been created to strengthen the organisation’s finance partnering capability and enable the Financial Controller to focus on wider strategic priorities. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving financial performance, improving reporting and forecasting processes, and embedding a more insight-led and forward-thinking approach across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with budget holders and senior stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making through high-quality financial analysis and reporting.
- Lead on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes across the organisation.
- Take ownership of the end-to-end management accounting process.
- Drive improvements to financial systems, reporting tools, and internal processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide financial leadership on key projects, including improving forecasting methodologies and streamlining year-end procedures.
- Support the senior leadership team by identifying financial risks, opportunities, and performance trends.
- Mentor and support finance team members, promoting continuous improvement and collaboration.
Candidate Profile
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Demonstrable experience within a Finance Business Partnering role, ideally within the social housing sector.
- Strong technical expertise across management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Experience managing or developing finance staff and improving finance processes.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive, collaborative, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
