Youâll be the go-to person for managing our B2B customer accounts â making sure invoices are accurate, payment terms and credit lines are properly managed, payments are chased, and reconciliations are watertight.
This is a hands-on finance role in a small but mighty commercial team, where youâll play a key part in keeping cash flowing and relationships with trade customers positive. Youâll be;
- Managing B2B customer accounts end-to-end, with a focus on credit control and collections.
- Issuing, tracking, and reconciling sales invoices in Xero.
- Chasing outstanding payments in a professional, brand-aligned way to maximise on-time payments and recovery.
- Producing statements of account for our B2B customers, and maintaining accurate records.
- Supporting internal teams with queries relating to customer payments and credit terms.

- Monitoring aged debt reports and proactively managing overdue accounts â including removal of credit terms where needed.
- Escalating problem debts to senior management and, if necessary, coordinating with external debt collection agencies or legal teams.
Skills and Experience:
In a nutshell, weâre looking for someone who is diligent in account administration and control â but whoâs also able to manage relationships with our salespeople and our B2B customers in an âon brandâ way. To help us get on the same page, weâre thinking the right person for this job should beâŚ

- Detail Oriented: joining the dots between invoices, payments, and credit lines to ensure that our customer experience feels seamless and cashflow is positive.
- Methodical: youâll be comfortable with a nicely set-out process thatâs consistently followed. Youâll also be keen to improve this and proactively develop processes.
- Caring and passionate about great customer experience: youâll be dealing directly with our important B2B Trade customers, and our internal sales team. Relationships are important. You should be confident in negotiating with customers to secure payment without damaging relationships.
- Proactive: nobody likes a babysitter, so everyone at COAT is proactive in managing their own work and time. Youâll be the first in this role, and able to shape it as you see best.
- Knowledgeable and experienced with accounting systems: Solid knowledge of Xero (or a similar accounting platform).
- Knowledgeable and experienced with Credit Control: Experience in using ageing debt analysis and KPI tracking.
In terms of past experience, you should have at least 2 years experience in accounts receivable or credit control. But as long as you can show us that youâre keen, willing and hitting the job requirements above, weâd love to chat. Naturally you should have the legal right to work in the UK, too..
