Soho, London – Hybrid

Part Time

We’ve teamed up with the exciting paint brand COAT Paints, who are now in the market to secure a Part Time Accounts Receivable Executive!

About COAT:

We’re a new online paint company who hand finish, package and ship paint directly to customers. We’re disrupting the way paint buying happens, making it ridiculously easy for people to create spaces they’re proud of. Curated colours, innovative Peel & Stick Samples, and all the equipment you need to paint – delivered at lightning speed (within a couple of hours, in London…).

We’re all about simplicity, ease and conscious thinking. If we can make decorating a more enjoyable experience, for our customers and the environment, then we’re winning.

We’re also one of the Times Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies in the UK – 2025. So we must be doing something right…

About The Role:

We’re on the hunt for a detail-driven Accounts Receivable Executive to join our London HQ on a part-time basis. You’ll be the go-to person for managing our B2B customer accounts – making sure invoices are accurate, payment terms and credit lines are properly managed, payments are chased, and reconciliations are watertight.

This is a hands-on finance role in a small but mighty commercial team, where you’ll play a key part in keeping cash flowing and relationships with trade customers positive. You’ll be;

  • Managing B2B customer accounts end-to-end, with a focus on credit control and collections.
  • Issuing, tracking, and reconciling sales invoices in Xero.
  • Chasing outstanding payments in a professional, brand-aligned way to maximise on-time payments and recovery.
  • Producing statements of account for our B2B customers, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Supporting internal teams with queries relating to customer payments and credit terms.
  • Spotting and solving discrepancies quickly.
  • Monitoring aged debt reports and proactively managing overdue accounts – including removal of credit terms where needed.
  • Escalating problem debts to senior management and, if necessary, coordinating with external debt collection agencies or legal teams.

Skills and Experience:

In a nutshell, we’re looking for someone who is diligent in account administration and control – but who’s also able to manage relationships with our salespeople and our B2B customers in an ‘on brand’ way. To help us get on the same page, we’re thinking the right person for this job should be…

  • Organised: you’ve got to be “on it” when it comes to managing multiple tasks at once, and multiple people.
  • Detail Oriented: joining the dots between invoices, payments, and credit lines to ensure that our customer experience feels seamless and cashflow is positive.
  • Methodical: you’ll be comfortable with a nicely set-out process that’s consistently followed. You’ll also be keen to improve this and proactively develop processes.
  • Caring and passionate about great customer experience: you’ll be dealing directly with our important B2B Trade customers, and our internal sales team. Relationships are important. You should be confident in negotiating with customers to secure payment without damaging relationships.
  • Proactive: nobody likes a babysitter, so everyone at COAT is proactive in managing their own work and time. You’ll be the first in this role, and able to shape it as you see best.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced with accounting systems: Solid knowledge of Xero (or a similar accounting platform).
  • Knowledgeable and experienced with Credit Control: Experience in using ageing debt analysis and KPI tracking.

In terms of past experience, you should have at least 2 years experience in accounts receivable or credit control. We need someone that is a quick learner on the job, effortless communicator and great with finance. If you’re a creative soul and interested in interiors/design then even better! But as long as you can show us that you’re keen, willing and hitting the job requirements above, we’d love to chat. Naturally you should have the legal right to work in the UK, too..

Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary + benefits
  • Flexible hybrid working
  • The opportunity to work in a high growth scale up!
  • + much more!
