We've partnered with the exciting ecom finance agency, eClarity, as we search for an eCommerce Accounts Assistant to join their scaling team! This is a fantastic opportunity to join a brand working with some of the most disruptive growth brands in the industry, to enable success for these brands through a deep understanding and control of their numbers.

Depending on the size of our client’s business we deliver our support in a number of ways, from providing fractional CFO services, working hand in hand with the Founder/ C Suite on strategy to a fully outsourced finance function, where we handle all the bookkeeping, payroll, taxes, cross border expansion, FX management, cost management, forecasting, fund raising, commercial advisory, banking structure and more. eClarity is a one stop shop for DTC brands globally to get their finances in order and get strategic financial support.
About the Role: As an eCommerce Accounts Assistant, you will be supporting the eCommerce Finance Manager, ensuring that all bookkeeping is clean, accurate and fully reconciled. Bookkeeping is the foundation of what we do and we obsess over the detail. We strive for real time reporting so that we can give clients financial visibility throughout the month and not just at month end.
We strive for automation and continuously seek improvement efficiencies in everything we do, minimising menial manual processes as we go. You would be joining us to help with all these things. Getting stuck in to build amazing brands, agencies and grow our clients to the next level, unlocked from the solid financial foundations you help them build, turning finance into a really valuable function that gives our clients accuracy, visibility & strategic direction enabling them to make informed decisions at pace. At the same time, you’ll help define, refine and grow our own financial capability, here at eClarity.
Responsibilities:
- CLIENT FACING
- Support in auditing client finance functions, making recommendations how to improve
- Daily bookkeeping and reconciliations – striving for accuracy
- Enable the business to provide clients with real time reporting – no backlog of transactions
- Build client relationships, minimising client requests so that we can give them their time back
- Review and improve financial processes and controls, encouraging automation efficiencies where possible.
- Support and preparation and delivery of enhanced management accounts and commentary.
- Preparation and delivery of daily, weekly, monthly cash flow reporting.
- Input/support in client fundraising projects.
- Support in the preparation of financial models, budgets and forecasts.
- Ad hoc modelling exercises to support pricing or cost-saving decisions.
- Replay findings and recommendations back to clients in a way that they understand.
INTERNAL
- Ensuring the accuracy of client invoicing, automating where possible.
- Input / support the credit control process ensuring debtor days are kept within tolerance.
- Input/support in financial performance analysis and recommendations.
- Uphold the company brand and the company values & behaviours.
- Respond quickly to internal requests, setting the standard for internal stakeholder management.
Candidate Profile:
- Excellent attention to detail and passion for problem-solving
- Advanced Excel skills with experience of building and working with complex models and large data sets
- Focuses on continuous process improvement, and driving efficiencies
- Demonstrates a commercial mindset, and understanding of business
- Able to build strong relationships, both with the wider Finance team globally and throughout the business
- Ability to be flexible to changing demands within a fast-paced business environment
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience reporting into an HOF/FD/CFO
- Part Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Hungry, determined and passionate about making an impact and driving results
- Experience of working within a Retail, Marketplace or DTC/e-commerce business
- Advanced MS Excel and IT skills (familiarity with graphs, VLOOKUPS and Pivot tables)
- Experience of working with scale up organisations
- Experience using e-commerce / wholesale / finance platforms
