About The Design Team
We’ve built a lean team of six, spanning Product Design, Brand Design, and Design Engineering. We’re a tight-knit, highly creative group who believe in showing rather than telling, staying curious, and pushing for deep craft excellence.
This Staff Designer role is a critical hire for the team. You will help us think holistically about how intelligence is woven into the entire AI platform, working across teams to shape new paradigms, capabilities, and patterns that elevate the overall platform experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the design of AI-native experiences across the hx platform.
- Partnering with product, engineering, and the AI team to shape the vision and plan for an AI-native platform.
- Developing scalable patterns through our design language, Xpression.
- Supporting the team in scaling craft excellence.
- Driving AI-adoption within the Design team’s own workflows.
- Working closely with the Head of Design to uplift the design team.
What You Will Need To Have Done
- A history designing AI-native product experiences.
- A strong perspective and opinion on the future of AI.
- Significant experience leading design for complex initiatives.
- Technical fluency, understanding the opportunities and limitations of AI.
- Demonstrable use of AI tooling within your own workflow.

Compensation
At hx, we’re committed to salary transparency. Our approach is to design compensation that’s competitive in the market, fair across teams, and aligned with the impact our people make.
