Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility, while promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any changes to the nursing staff immediately.
  • Support nursing and medical staff during clinical procedures and daily rounds.
  • Ensure patient beds, rooms, and clinical environments are kept clean, safe, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Serve meals and assist patients with eating and drinking, adhering to specific dietary requirements or care plans.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date patient records in compliance with data protection regulations.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as an HCA or Support Worker in a hospital, clinic, or residential care setting.
  • An NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is highly desirable, along with a completed Care Certificate.
  • A naturally empathetic and patient-focused approach, with the resilience to handle emotionally and physically demanding situations.
