FUNCTION OF ROLE: As the Supply Chain Co-ordinator, based at Head Office Nottingham, you will be a valued member of the Procurement Team. You will be responsible for ensuring that all customer orders are dispatched on time and delivered in full to the destination in the most cost-effective, time-dependent manner, processing and tracking purchase orders with customers, and assisting with other department administrative tasks as needed.
SUPPLY CHAIN KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide the focal point for all supply related matters in relation to UK supermarkets and other mainstream customers.
- Work closely with Sales/Buying to identify the required stocking levels of our retail customers and ensure we maintain service level at 98+% on all orders delivered.
- Collaborate with the Senior Buyer and Warehouse Operations Manager to ensure launch availability at 100% for all new lines with the UK supermarkets and mainstream customers.
- Coordinate with customers' Supply Chain team on forecasting, promotion planning, and any issues in fulfilment of orders.
- Maintain and update the sales forecast document on a weekly basis, including downloading/processing the EPOS data from the retailers' website.
- Ensure optimum stock holding at the third-party warehouses at all times and manage stock transfer to the same.
- Provide appropriate customer support in relation to new product launches, completing new line forms, samples/mock-ups, and updating and reviewing the EDI systems.
- Provide early warning of impending products or stock problems to relevant colleagues.
- Identify and understand complex supply chain data issues and drive them to solution.
- Liaise with Warehouse Stock Controller to ensure stock is accurate in the warehouse against stock management data and investigate any discrepancies.
- Oversee the level of stock that is blocked for selected trade channels, ensuring the stock levels are not excessive in terms of months cover.
- Support the Sales Director by researching accounts and generating sales leads for the JK Foods Tiger Tiger brand to open new listings across primarily retail grocers.
- Assist the Sales Director with business presentations to present to the major retailers' Buying Team.
- Identify and develop key customer contacts, booking in appointments with supermarket buyers/head office teams.
- Liaise with Supply Chain, Warehouse, logistics, and the Customer to secure well-executed in-store promotions and availability.
- Deliver agreed monthly and three-monthly business sales forecasts.
- Resolve complaints and keep track of all processes pertaining to every client account.
- Collect and analyse data about consumer behaviour to understand trend changes in clients' needs.
