We are recruiting a Digital Pharmacology Scientist to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Berkshire area. As the Digital Pharmacology Scientist, you will be responsible for supporting the expansion of digital capabilities within an In Vitro Pharmacology department. This is an initial 12 month contract but will likely offer extension.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • You will support the progress of IVP towards their digital ambitions by building, rolling out, and maintaining new digital tools.
  • You will assist peers with complex and large-scale data analysis, and improve existing tools within the department.
  • You will present key findings or novel tools at internal meetings, and interpret findings clearly for the wider team.
  • You will perform lab-based tasks including routine screening assays, tissue culture, and using platforms such as flow cytometry and high content imaging.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Relevant degree in a scientific discipline.
  • Proven industry experience in bioinformatics, including large-scale bioscience data analysis and digital tool generation.
  • A working knowledge and practical experience with at least one programming language (e.g. Python, R, MatLab).
