An exciting opportunity for a Research Scientist to join a leading pharmaceutical company specialising in antibody formulation development. The position is initially a 12-month temporary contract with potential for extension, supporting key stages of monoclonal antibody development.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your duties as the Research Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Support the development and optimisation of antibody formulations, executing experiments to enhance stability and efficacy across different development stages.
  • Conduct protein/antibody analysis using techniques such as HPLC/UPLC, iCE, UV spectroscopy, DLS, CGE, rheology, and sub-visible particle analysis.
  • Support laboratory setup, manage technical resources, and contribute to the creation of protocols, reports, and documentation based on biochemical and physical degradation analysis.
  • Present experimental results clearly to cross-functional teams to inform decision-making.
  • Work within a fast-paced environment, collaborating across departments to ensure project goals are met efficiently.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

  • A Degree or higher level in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology or similar, with a proven minimum of 3 years of laboratory experience and application of emerging technologies.
  • Experience in protein/antibody analysis techniques such as HPLC/UPLC, iCE, UV spectroscopy, DLS, CGE, rheology, and sub-visible particle analysis; experience in formulation development and automation is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Highly self-motivated team player capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
