We are currently looking for a Research/Senior Scientist - Antibody Discovery to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Berkshire area. As the Research/Senior Scientist - Antibody Discovery, you will be responsible for contributing to the discovery and characterisation of antibody variable domains that bind either disease-relevant targets or immune cells, enabling the development of next‑generation immune cell engager therapeutics. This is an initial 12‑month contract, with likely opportunities for extension within the business.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Discover antibody variable domains using Single B cell antibody discovery platforms.
  • Perform molecular biology workflows, including PCR, library preparation, and NGS sample handling.
  • Analyse antibody sequence data using sequence‑based tools, bioinformatics pipelines, and AI‑enabled models.
  • Express and characterise antibodies in secondary in‑vitro assays, including ELISA, flow cytometry, and BLI.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant degree in immunology, molecular biology, biotechnology, or a related field.
  • Proven industry experience in antibody discovery, immunology, or related biological sciences.
  • A working knowledge and practical experience with cell culture, in‑vitro experimental techniques, and data analysis.
