A leading company in the pharmaceutical industry is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join their team in the London area. This role offers the chance to be at the forefront of developing cuttingâedge Machine Learning and AI applications that will revolutionise the way therapies for diseases are created and delivered. As a Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in making this vision a reality. This is an inside IR35 assignment.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Backâend development for a Python web application.
- Integration of AI/ML components with frontend, backend, data, and compute infrastructure.
- Responsible for highâquality software implementations according to best practices, including automated test suites and documentation.
- Develop, measure, and monitor key metrics for all tools and services and consistently seek to iterate on and improve them.
Role Requirements
- Relevant degree in a computational, numerate, or life sciences field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven industry experience in Python backend development (e.g., using FastAPI).
- A working knowledge and practical experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud) and core web application infrastructure.
