ROLE OVERVIEW
A leading provider in the healthcare and life sciences sector is seeking a dynamic and hands-on Head of R&D to join their innovative team in Cheshire. As the Head of R&D, you will play a pivotal role in driving the research and development of both hardware and software products, ensuring that solutions continue to meet the evolving needs of customers.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Head of R&D will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Lead and mentor a cross-functional R&D team, spanning hardware, firmware, and software disciplines.
2. Define and deliver an R&D roadmap aligned with the company’s commercial and operational goals.
3. Drive end-to-end product development from concept through prototyping, validation, and release.
4. Collaborate closely with Sales and Operations to deliver technically sound, customer-centric, and commercially viable solutions.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Head of R&D and Product Development, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a similar field.
2. Proven industry experience in leading multidisciplinary R&D teams and delivering integrated products.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with Agile software development and iterative hardware engineering.
