We are currently looking for a Commercial Manager to join an advanced nuclear materials company developing next‑generation nuclear fuel for advanced reactors. This is a key role supporting the development and delivery of the UK commercial strategy, working across clients, government bodies, and strategic partners to enable programme execution and market growth. You will lead commercial activities across a highly regulated environment, ensuring agreements, partnerships, and supplier relationships are developed, negotiated, and delivered in line with regulatory and commercial best practice. This position offers the opportunity to play a central role in shaping the organisation’s UK footprint and long‑term commercial success.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Support the development and delivery of the UK commercial strategy, including approaches to client engagement, government relations, and regulatory compliance.
- Identify, secure, and actively manage strategic alliances across the ecosystem to accelerate growth, revenue, and market reach.
- Develop, negotiate, and support commercial agreements and joint‑venture opportunities with major partners for agreed accounts and strategic relationships.
- Ensure regulatory and commercial compliance, overseeing timely implementation of agreements to maximise value and support programme delivery.
- Support negotiation activities, internal approvals, and delivery of contracted resources required by the business.
- Track and interpret legislative, regulatory, and political developments, identifying risks and opportunities and contributing to ongoing risk and opportunity management.
- Contribute to advocacy plans and represent the organisation in relevant public forums, industry events, and stakeholder engagements (as directed).
- Manage key customer accounts and supplier relationships, ensuring contracts are delivered effectively and in line with commercial and regulatory requirements.
Role Requirements
- Extensive experience in the UK nuclear sector is essential, or alternatively in a similarly highly regulated environment.
- Strong experience in commercial management, contract development, and negotiation, with the ability to manage both client and supplier ecosystems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder‑engagement skills, with the presence to represent the organisation in public, governmental, and industry settings.
