We are currently looking for a Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to join a leading science and technology organisation based in the UK. This pivotal executive role is responsible for leading the company’s global commercial strategy across both its Product and Services divisions, with a primary emphasis on driving the growth and success of its innovative product portfolio. As CCO, you will play a critical role in aligning product innovation with market needs, driving revenue growth, and positioning the organisation as a market leader across public health, agriculture, and commercial sectors. You will have full responsibility for defining and executing the commercial strategy, overseeing revenue generation, and ensuring operational alignment across sales, marketing, product management, and service delivery functions. You will work closely with the executive team to deliver long‑term value and impact.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the global commercial strategy across both Product and Services divisions, with a strong focus on scaling product‑led revenue streams.
  • Drive business growth by expanding market share, launching new products, and developing scalable commercial models across multiple sectors.
  • Take full ownership of commercial performance, including revenue growth, pipeline development, pricing strategy, and market expansion.
  • Lead and integrate cross‑functional teams across sales, marketing, product management, and services to ensure alignment and execution of strategic objectives.
  • Work closely with R&D and technical teams to ensure product offerings are market‑driven, competitive, and deliver clear customer value.
  • Build and maintain strong customer and partner relationships, leading high‑level commercial negotiations and strategic partnerships.
  • Identify and enter new markets and geographies, positioning the organisation as a leader in science‑led, data‑driven solutions.
  • Develop and implement go‑to‑market strategies that effectively communicate the value of both products and services.

Role Requirements

  • A degree or higher‑level qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Biological Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, or related discipline), combined with significant commercial leadership experience.
  • A proven track record of leading commercial functions within product‑led or product‑and‑service organisations, with demonstrable success in scaling revenue and market presence.
  • Experience operating at a senior level within complex, technical, or regulated environments, ideally within science‑led, data‑driven, or R&D‑focused organisations.
  • Strong experience in developing and executing go‑to‑market strategies, product commercialisation, and building high‑performing commercial teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at executive level, influencing business strategy and delivering measurable commercial outcomes.
