A leading company in the biotechnology industry is seeking a Research Associate to join their discovery team based in the Cambridgeshire area. As a Research Associate, you will be responsible for conducting high-quality bench research and performing in vitro assays that will significantly contribute to drug discovery efforts.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Efficiently execute lab work designed to advance early-stage projects, ensuring the timeliness and quality of your scientific workload.
- Accurately interpret experimental data, perform statistical analysis, formulate conclusions, and communicate findings with colleagues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of experimental data and present findings at regular internal meetings.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including the Discovery Team, Frontier Biology, and the Discover Chemistry UK team, to ensure program goals are met.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant degree in a scientific field such as biological sciences or a similar discipline.
- Proven industry experience in oncology drug discovery research, including DNA, RNA, and protein-related methodologies.
- A working knowledge and practical experience with cell handling and tissue culture techniques.
