ROLE OVERVIEWWe are currently looking for a Research Scientist or Director to join a leading organisation within the pharmaceutical and drug discovery sector. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESYour duties as the Research Scientist or Director will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows: Driving the development and application of advanced simulation techniques (e.g., FEP/TI) within a drug discovery context to enhance project outcomes. Designing and implementing new computational methodologies to improve existing approaches and support innovative research. Collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate computational strategies into overall drug development processes. Providing strategic leadership and management for the department, with Directors also shaping departmental strategy for computational chemistry. As the Director you will oversee project portfolios, guide scientific teams, and contribute to high-level planning and decision-making. ROLE REQUIREMENTSTo be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Research Scientist or Director, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history: A Degree or higher level in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Biophysics, Computational Chemistry).Proven industry experience in developing and applying modern simulation methods (e.g., FEP/TI) within drug discovery. Extensive experience in pharmaceutical R&D with a track record of successful computational method development and application.
