ROLE OVERVIEW
Looking for a challenging and impactful role in the biosafety field? A leading company in the biopharmaceutical industry is seeking an experienced Head of Biosafety to lead the Biosafety function fro their site in Hertfordshire. This senior position offers the chance to make a significant contribution to global pathogen safety while working in a highly regulated environment.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Biosafety function, ensuring its work supports organisational priorities and the wider Global Pathogen Safety strategy.
- Oversee pathogen safety activities, GLP compliance, and laboratory operations within a critical and highly regulated scientific environment.
- Lead, support, and develop a team of scientific professionals working across specialised biosafety and pathogen-safety activities.
- Act as a senior scientific leader, applying strong pathogen-safety expertise to guide programmes, projects, and operational decision-making.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Head of Biosafety we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
- Significant professional experience working within a GLP-regulated environment.
- Strong scientific expertise in pathogen safety.
- Demonstrable experience leading teams within a GLP-regulated environment.
- Experience supporting or leading Health Authority inspections.
This role is perfect for a scientific professional with deep expertise in pathogen safety and a strong knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP). You will have the opportunity to influence the wider Global Pathogen Safety strategy and contribute directly to the safety of medicinal products used by patients around the world.
