An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Scientist or Senior Research Scientist (Contractor) to join a leading biopharmaceutical company specialising in immune cell engager therapeutics. Based within their innovative Antibody Discovery and Optimisation Team, you will be at the forefront of cutting-edge research supporting the development of next-generation medicines for immune-mediated diseases. The position is primarily VDI only, with the office moving to Windlesham in the future, providing a dynamic environment for scientific growth and innovation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support antibody discovery activities by identifying and characterising variable domains using Single B cell platforms.
  • Contribute to immune cell engager projects through the screening and selection of high-quality antibody candidates.
  • Conduct molecular biology workflows including PCR, library preparation, and NGS sample processing.
  • Analyze sequence data using bioinformatics pipelines, AI models, and other computational tools to inform discovery strategies.
  • Express and evaluate antibody candidates in secondary assays such as ELISA, flow cytometry, and BLI.
  • Document and present experimental findings clearly within project and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to align on project goals and timelines.
  • Proactively engage with emerging technologies to enhance discovery approaches.

Role Requirements

  • A degree or higher level in immunology, molecular biology, biotechnology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in antibody discovery, immunology, or related biological sciences.
  • Hands-on expertise with cell culture, molecular biology techniques, and data analysis pipelines.
